FOUNDRESS STATEMENT

The most valuable and precious thing in the world is human attention. Where we put it matters.

Solani Media is committed to putting attention on the stories that show us what is possible, that celebrate creativity, offer new or reframed perspectives, or propose new ways of looking and living beyond shining a light on current problems. Fiction, doc, new media, or wild blend, our diverse projects share an orientation towards the world that we want to live in, connecting where we have been to where we can go. Where we put our attention is what grows.

This focus on attention extends to ethical and equitable treatment of subjects, collaborators, and team members.

After over a decade producing documentary features and series, I founded Solani Media on the ethos that the process is inseparable from the product. If it feels good to make, it will feel good to watch. If you’re moved you can move. And we are.

This is why I have founded Solani Media with my dear friend and engineer of the possible, Zach Barnett. We have built Solani as the ultimate greenhouse to grow seedling ideas into powerful media. A space big enough for our wild ideas, absurd humor, commitment to art and exploration, for our energy, love, and devotion.

Our work celebrates creativity, beauty, and engages the possible. We create the right containers to nourish work that is beautiful and smart and ethical and engaging and entertaining.
